Globe at Night 2010  [Return to News Front Page]
15 February 2010 - Obs reports and practical astronomy By: CoreyS
The 2010 edition of the Globe at Night Observation project will start On March 3rd and end on March 16th.  This has been a really fun observation project to participate in the last couple of years and has helped us "see" the problem of light pollution.  The best part of this is, you don't need any special equipment to participate, just your eyes and the handouts provided on the site. Why not give it a try this year?  Post and share your observations with us here at thenewRadiant also!

Welcome to thenewRadiant

Welcome to thenewRadiant!

-  a community of amateur astronomers from all over the world

We share ideas, astronomy news and observation stories, exchange hints and tips with other enthusiasts and generally keep in touch with one another and the world of amateur astronomy.

We come from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres and we range from very experienced practical observers to those who are beginning to explore the world of amateur astronomy.   Come and join in our observing projects to learn together and meet new friends in the process. Or talk about any other relevant topic in our discussion forums. Young astronomers and "astro kids" are welcome.  Members and guests also have access to our extensive links section.

This site is dedicated to the memory of my mom, who gave me life - and the stars.
